Microban^® technology is available on select Weiser^® products. Look for the Microban^® sticker on Weiser^® packaging.

Microban^® protection is incorporated into the finish of select Weiser^® knobs and levers during our manufacturing process. When microbes come in contact with the product surface, Microban^® protection penetrates the cell wall of the microorganism and disrupts the cell, making the microorganism unable to grow and reproduce.

Microban^® protection continuously prevents the uncontrolled growth of microbes that cause stains, odors and product degradation. Microban^® protection makes the products in your home easier to clean and keeps them cleaner and fresher between cleanings.

Microban^® antimicrobial protection is effective against most common bacteria that cause stains, odors and product degradation. Microban^® technology is not designed to protect users from disease causing microorganisms.

Consumer safety is a fundamental concern for us. The Microban^® antimicrobials used in Weiser^® finishes are approved by the EPA and have a history of safe use in door hardware. Because Microban^®’s antimicrobial additives are built into our products themselves, using our products does not result in consumer exposures or transmission directly into the environment in the way that products like disinfectants or liquid antibacterial soaps do during use. Additionally, Weiser^® products never contain triclosan or triclocarban.

No, Weiser^® does not manufacture any products that contain triclosan or triclocarban. Weiser^® is committed to delivering quality to our consumers and puts safety of our customers above all else.

Microban^® protection is incorporated to the finish of select Weiser^® products during the manufacturing process and will not wash off or wear away. The effectiveness of Microban^® is contingent on the life of the finish. If the finish is degraded in the future, the Microban^® efficacy may be compromised. Weiser^® offers a lifetime finish warranty on all products, in the event the finish of your product is damaged Weiser^® would replace the product.
